About

Where this started.

I grew up in Panipat. My first office wasn’t a startup — it was an audit assistant’s chair at a small firm a few streets from the school I’d just finished. Between 2018 and 2023 I worked across two CA firms there, filing returns, auditing books, sitting through closures. By the second year I noticed the same thing happening across thirty different clients. The software changed; the chaos didn’t. The compliance got filed; the business underneath stayed broken. People were doing the right work, on the wrong rails.

That observation is, in some sense, where everything I’ve built since started.

I spent five years across two CA firms — Sunita Bathla & Associates from 2018, then Gupta G & Associates from 2021 — as an audit and article assistant. I cleared CA Intermediate and completed my articleship. I also cleared five ACCA papers. By 2023 the work I wanted to do had moved away from the qualification track.

That year I left full-time practice for a Global MBA in Business Analytics at Jindal Global Business School. I graduated in 2024 as gold medalist, best all-rounder, and recipient of the Outstanding Leadership Award. Within months of graduating I founded Office Sahayogi, took on Managing Partner at JaiParkashSingla Legal & Consulting LLP, and started the research that would become the wider Sahayogi ecosystem. I’m now a PhD scholar at Amity University, working on AI applications in business analytics, while shipping the products full-time.

Most software companies serving Indian small business build for the founder. I build for the person three desks away from the founder — the accountant who reconciles, the operations manager who files, the salesperson who follows up. Their day is where the friction lives. Fix their day and the founder’s day fixes itself.

Day-to-day, the work is unglamorous and exact. I diagnose operational gaps inside Indian SMEs, draft the workflows and controls that fix them, and build the products that operationalise the fix. I write product specs. I design databases. I read the API documentation of every KYC vendor in the country. I argue with myself about pricing tiers until they make sense. I draft the legal correspondence that the family practice needs and the company doesn’t yet have a lawyer for. The Sahayogi One ecosystem will eventually have a team — for now, range is the moat, and the discipline of doing all of it myself is what makes sure no part of it goes corporate before it’s ready.

I work in long sessions and respond carefully. If you’re building in this space, or you serve the same customer, or you teach the people who will, I’d like to hear from you.
